Here's the Game Plan

my vision for the eparty is to create a web based lobby (eventually a party) where people can connect and agree on issues, rather than whole candidates. they could create soap boxes for any new issue like gun control. people could propose platform stances which can be voted on by the members of the soap box and then put forth to the whole membership. approved measures could then get funding from the eparty to lobby. individual soap boxes could raise their own money which the eparty would put towards their issues even if not approved by the whole. think moveon by the members. think bubble up politics.

yo mark, that's an awesome vision. we are doing just that as part of indyvoter.org. we are creating a social network with some critical tools for activist organizations and campaigns. members can create communities around issues, propose and ratify voter guides, offer and share resources and participate in democratic decision making processes pertaining to resource sharing and roles. we had some great discussions with your CTO at etech in san diego as well as some others doing similar things. check out www.indyvoter.org/future

btw, we are non-profit, open source and view IndyVoter as a public trust.

I'm new to this tribe stuff. I started a discussion group for progressives called P3 Tribe, but those who said they would post are taking their time. Check out my idea for a "Buck Fund" to get mass donations (and mass regime change) at the local level. Then tell me what you think.

i'd really like to talk to indyvoter about how to get all the movements acting as one, how we democratize our democracy, how we unite to take over the democratic party from within, form a web based coalition (eparty.org) that gives people voice and choice, where eparty candidates get elected to become the people's proxy, where representatives sign up to listen and respond to ALL the people not the loudest and richest.
